Good, readable copy. Softback and well bound. All the maps are split up at the end of the book; a blueprint map of the city showing waterways and cisterns , a color map with the buildings colored and numbered on a light green background and also an artists impression of the city in 3D, showing the buildings and probably used for general navigation. These would need to be photocopied, or printed from the PDF as they are all double-sided.

Color cover art and another color piece in the middle and lots of good black and white art inside. I look forward to soloing my characters in this city. The hardcover book "Greyhawk Adventures" has that set of rules included. I don't know about this one. Got it today, PoD is fuzzy however readable. The ToEE I also got at the same time was much better..

The print was good also get the PDF so you can pay Staples or someone to print the maps for you. They are in the back of the book however can be a pain to access. February 06, pm UTC. Purchased this before reading the other review. Indeed it's not searchable and honestly the scan quality is worse than I've seen elsewhere ; Wait for them to fix it before you buy it.

Is the OCR good enough to copy blocks of text to paste elsewhere? I am thinking of Ream Works. Great book with loads of ideas. The only problem i have is with the soft cover which i purchased. The maps are not seperate, infact they are prrinted, A4, back to back in the rear of the book. No use to anybody, a seperate booklet or even single sid [ Jimmy M.

There is enough content to fill out the city as-is, and the physical size of the place allows for plenty of homebrew and cusstomization as well. The NPC [ Bruce E. I wore out my old copy of this amazing boxed set, so was extremely pleased to see it all presented here at DriveThru. This was really the gold standard of world settings in the day - if you need an engaging setting for adventures in 2e I thoroug [ Max T.

This edition of the Greyhawk boxed set translates remarkably well to book form, was very well scanned, and if you are buying this out of any motivation from nostalgia to practical and accesible use for play today, this book will serve you well. Chris T. As the Jewel of the Flaness, this is one of the most developed cities I've seen.

Family Gaming. Science Fiction. Phone PDF. I've never done anything specific with Greyhawk before so I've been purchasing a variety of pdfs to help flesh out the area. From my searching, I cannot find it anywhere where as pretty much everything else seems to be available. Is there a reason for this? Erik Mona mentions that it can be purchased online through a number of officially licensed retailers but I cannot find it anywhere.

On the Age of Worms The one thing that I really wanted to do with this is flesh out the local area a little bit more. It's one thing to have names of local villages and townships nearby, but it's another thing altogether to have the solid presentation of an actual map of the area. I can thoroughly recommend the Doomgrinder module for its fantastic map of the Cairn Hills area for those like me who "need a map" to work with. The group I DM get right into the roleplaying and tend to be free spirits when it comes down to what they do.

As such I have been digging up a huge array of sources. Unfortunately, the boxed set seems to be the last piece of the puzzle.

By the way, if people have any advice in regards to the Greyhawk Setting in particular the Free City of Greyhawk or the Cairn Hills or anything regarding the Age of Worms Adventure Path, feel free to comment or advise. Best Regards Herremann the Wise. Voadam Legend. Which is a real shame. Patman First Post. Harremann, I too am running AoW.

I bought Greyhawk: The Adventure Begins. It has a fantastic map of the area, and details the city very well. Alzrius The EN World kitten. Herremann, have you checked out the Age of Worms Overload? It has a lot of great resources, including some modifications you can make to the Adventure Path so it's more Greyhawk -specific.

Gygax's new Castle Zagyg series from TLG may also be of interestthe first book presents the town of Yggsburgh and its surrounding environs, and will be followed up by Castle Zagyg proper, the grand-daddy of all dungeons I hope that helps? I disagree about the deification thing though.

I think Kyuss makes a great god of creepy undeath. Maldin said:. Thanks for the plug, grodog. Last edited: Nov 24, DanMcS Explorer. A few locations have changed according to the article in LGJ 2 on page 4.

Last edited: Nov 23, Gee, thanks guys! When I created it, I used the boxed set map as a starting point, and redrew it, keeping the locations of most of the original buildings intact hence its "familiarity".

However in the process of redrawing all the buildings, I increased their number and therefore the city density by over 10 times, making its population count more realistic. I also made MANY other major changes for both realism and to more properly match previously published Greyhawk materials.

Put the two poster maps side by side and you will see that, while I've attempted to maintain complete compatibility with previous works, they really are VERY different maps. As I get time, I'll be putting up more pages detailing individual locations and linking them to that page. You can always see exactly what I have up and sometimes what is coming, when there are new but still-inactive links by checking my active site map.
